Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Tax Manager for their Latin American region. This role is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and reports to the Vice President - Global Head of Tax. The Tax Manager will play a key role in owning Adyen's Latin America tax structure, ensuring it is well-maintained for the company's continued growth and global expansion. They will contribute to projects that support the company's rapid growth and the evolving Brazilian & Mexican tax landscape.

What this role involves:
  • Supporting Adyen in navigating tax complexity in Brazil & Mexico, including the Brazilian Tax Reform.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and scalability of the Latin America tax structure.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the tax strategy for the region, aligned with Adyen's growth and global tax strategy.
  • Identifying and analyzing potential tax risks and opportunities within the Latin American region.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for tax matters in the Latin America region.
  • Collaborating with finance, commercial, and product teams on new product launches and business initiatives within Latin America.
  • Reviewing tax returns and supporting tax audits as needed.
  • Contributing to projects with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of Brazilian tax legislation.
  • Proven experience in a Brazilian (and broader Latin America) tax role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex tax legislation into practical business advice.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Mindset of constantly improving, automating, and scaling.
  • Affinity with data and tax technology.
  • Solid stakeholder management experience.
  • Fluent in English.
