Job Description

Adyen is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Commercial Counsel to join its global Commercial Legal team in San Francisco. The Commercial Counsel will be responsible for assisting the Commercial Legal team on a broad portfolio of topics, including contract negotiations, template drafting, and general commercial matters. Adyen is a financial technology platform of choice, providing payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.Role involves:

• Providing strategic legal advice across various commercial functions.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Contributing to business and legal initiatives globally.
• Driving legal automation efforts.
• Building strong relationships with colleagues, leaders, and stakeholders.
• Participating in training of sales and commercial colleagues.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of legal experience, in house or at a law firm.
• Strong commercial contracting and/or transactional experience.
• Ability to collaborate with legal counsels in various jurisdictions.
• Team player with solid people skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and independently.
• Curiosity and ownership over learning and professional growth.
• Self-motivated, driven, reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
• Experience educating others on complex ideas and providing training.
• Ability to structure and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work from the San Francisco office and travel periodically.
• Fluency in English.
• Attorney in good standing with the California or New York Bar.
