Job Description
Skylo Technologies is seeking a Staff Cloud QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its Platform and Cloud systems. This role involves validating the Data Mobility Platform and Cloud Services within the GCP infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and a passion for creating automation scripts, load testing, and validating Skylo's Cloud infrastructure. This position is based in Bangalore, India, with a requirement of being onsite in the office three days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation test suites to validate Customer facing Rest APIs and all features of Cloud Components.
  • Develop frameworks and test suites for load and regression testing, validating the system with high data volumes and generating reports.
  • Automate build processes with regression test suites using Jenkins pipelines and Robot Framework.
  • Automate operational processes related to network management, provisioning, and configuration.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure version control and reproducibility of changes to the Skylo network.
  • Set up monitoring solutions to measure the health and performance of software applications and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with telecom engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to streamline QA processes.
  • Promote accountability and ownership within the team through robust test frameworks, automated validation, and documentation practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud QA Engineer in the software industry.
  • Familiarity with REST Apis, cloud technologies, and architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, JMeter, TestNG, Selenium, Appium, etc.) and Load Generator Tools.
  • Ability to use Jenkins for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Ruby.
  • Understanding of Code quality and performance metrics.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies relevant to the telecom industry.
  • Experience with network configuration management tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud QA.
