Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Head of Developer Advocacy to lead and scale its developer experience. This role involves shaping the developer experience for Adyen's customers and partners. The Head of Developer Advocacy will co-lead Adyen’s global Developer Experience strategy, partnering with engineers, product teams, and external developers to improve the platform.

What this role involves:
  • Championing the end-to-end developer journey across Adyen’s APIs, SDKs, documentation, and tooling.
  • Designing and scaling structured feedback loops with developers to identify pain points.
  • Collaborating with engineers, product designers, and product managers to prioritize and shape features.
  • Overseeing the developer experience content strategy and the creation of high-quality content.
  • Building trusted relationships with developers in the customer and partner ecosystem.
  • Leading community engagement efforts and representing Adyen in developer communities.
  • Growing and managing a high-performing team of developer advocates.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or a related technical role.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, and developer tools.
  • Expertise in one or two major programming languages.
  • Strong ability to design and execute plans that drive developer adoption and engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience working closely with product and engineering to influence roadmaps.
