Kotlin Engineer

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a skilled Kotlin Engineer to join their team in Chicago. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. In this role, the engineer will focus on developing and improving Adyen's in-person payments solution, working with a large fleet of payment terminals.

The Kotlin Engineer will contribute to the development of solutions for payment terminals, incorporating features such as accepting payments via credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and QR codes. They will also be responsible for ensuring seamless communication with the Adyen backend and integrating with various cash registers using state-of-the-art standards.

Role involves:

• Developing solutions for payment terminals.
• Accepting payments using various methods.
• Communicating with the Adyen backend.
• Integrating with cash registers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of cumulative development experience in Android/Kotlin.
• 5+ years of experience in software design and development in Kotlin.
• Knowledge of databases (Postgresql, SQLite).
• Fluency in English.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development (Nice to have).
• Additional programming knowledge/experience - Android, Java, C/C++, Python (Nice to have).
• Card payment (EMV, ISO8583, ISO20022) knowledge (Nice to have).
