Job Description

Skylo Technologies, based in Mountain View, CA, is seeking an L2 NOC Engineer to join its team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of Skylo's IoT satellite network infrastructure. This role involves alarm monitoring, ticket resolution, and serving as the primary contact for the Network Operations Center besides collaboration with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions. A foundational knowledge of Google Cloud, Kubernetes, along with experience providing Tier 2 technical support and documenting network configurations are essential for the role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of the IoT satellite network infrastructure.
  • Alarm Monitoring and ticket resolution.
  • Collaborating with Skylo's engineering teams on troubleshooting efforts.
  • Evaluating network performance and creating improvement strategies.
  • Delivering Tier 2 technical assistance to both internal and external clients.
  • Maintaining documentation on network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Participating in on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 plus years of experience in Network Operations, preferably within the telecommunications or wireless network domains.
  • Proficient level of understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and concepts.
  • Proficient in setting up monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficient level of Linux system administration duties.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
