Adyen is seeking a Product Manager to focus on enhancing Japanese payment methods, specifically QR code-based solutions and digital wallets like PayPay and RakutenPay. This role is based in Adyen's Tokyo office, emphasizing in-person collaboration. Adyen is a financial technology platform that provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for global customers.
What this role involves:
- Building and scaling local payment methods in Japan.
- Taking ownership of a broad problem set, defining solutions for impact and scalability.
- Leading prioritization and planning for the local payment methods roadmap.
- Engaging with Japanese and global merchants to understand their needs.
- Driving initiatives end-to-end, working with engineers on technical problem-solving.
Who is Adyen looking for:
- Fluent in both English and Japanese.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- 3+ years of experience in the payments space with knowledge of Japanese local payment methods.
- 5–7 years in Product Management at software companies, launching and scaling products.
- Skilled at listening to customers, engineers, and partners to define product priorities.
