Scientist (CDx)

Job Description

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Scientist (CDx) to participate in IVD/CDx assay development, validation, and execution under design control process. The Scientist will perform clinical assays in a CLIA/CAP/ISO accredited clinical immunology laboratory and support the development of new procedures and improvement of existing SOPs. They will also prepare critical reagents and reagent lot-to-lot evaluation and equipment comparability studies.Role involves:

• Performing total antibody/neutralization antibody measurement and/or other immune monitoring assays
• Designing and performing experiments, independently analyzing and presenting data
• Assisting in establishing and improving laboratory procedures and SOP documentation
• Troubleshooting and correcting routine scientific issues/problems
• Identifying, updating, and suggesting emerging laboratory techniques
• Maintaining safe lab practices and environment
• Collaborating with other technical teams
• Supporting equipment operational qualifications and instrument performance maintenance checks
• Ensuring monthly reagent inventory counts are up to date
• Acting as a scientific technology platform lead internally
• Writing and preparing SOPs, abstracts, or draft scientific study reports

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in life sciences or related field with 5 years of relevant laboratory experience, and/or Ph.D. degree in life sciences with 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
• Expert level mammalian cell culture and plate-based cellular assay experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to organize and analyze data, and prepare data reports
• Strong computational skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, GraphPad Prism)
• Excellent judgment and discretion
• Ability to lift and carry between 1-15 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. overhead with assistance
• Fluency in English
