Sr. Machine Learning Software Engineer

Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) PlayStation is seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Software Engineer to join their Store Publishing Operations & Commerce (SPOC) team. This role involves hands-on engineering with responsibilities ranging from evolving and supporting machine learning/AI pipelines to building low-latency, high-throughput systems. The ideal candidate should be proficient in running applications at internet scale on modern cloud architectures (e.g., AWS). Role involves:

• Designing and implementing cloud solutions using AWS.
• Developing and maintaining core infrastructure for data streaming and processing.
• Enhancing ML/AI pipelines supporting automation, experimentation, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Ensuring automated deployment and optimizing infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
• Guaranteeing high levels of service availability through on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Java and Python.
• Proficiency with common AWS services (EKS/ECS, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS).
• Experience with systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics tools.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with multi-functional teams.
• Experience with container orchestration and management (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Basic knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
