PlayStation is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Personalisation team in Dublin. The Data Scientist will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimising personalised experiences across the PlayStation Network. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, product, and design teams in the UK and North America.
The Data Scientist will contribute to the overall strategy and vision for personalisation by shaping how PlayStation defines success and continuously learns from data.
Role involves:
Leading analytical and measurement efforts for the Personalisation program.
Embedding with engineering teams to understand the platform and identify data-driven insights.
Designing, executing, and analysing A/B tests and experiments.
Evaluating the performance of machine learning models and content strategy.
Developing frameworks for attribution, forecasting, and causal inference.
Partnering with cross-functional teams to bring a data-first perspective to product development.
Ensuring reliable access to high-quality data for experimentation and analysis.
Communicating analytical results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements:
A degree in Statistics, Computer or Data Science, Mathematics, Analytics, or similar.
5-8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar field.
Experience designing and analysing controlled experiments.
Familiarity with causal inference techniques and experimental bias correction.
Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets.
Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and data manipulation.
Ability to derive actionable insights and communicate them to stakeholders.
Experience with data visualisation tools.
Familiarity with personalisation systems or e-commerce metrics is a plus.
