Engineering Manager, Data Platforms

Job Description

PlayStation is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its foundational data platforms, Data Ocean and Databricks platform. This role is crucial for enabling data-driven decision-making, AI/ML, and scalable insights across the PlayStation ecosystem. The Engineering Manager will lead a talented engineering team focused on building secure, performant, and scalable next-generation platforms.

The Engineering Manager will partner closely with platform product managers, Data Engineering, architecture, governance, and business teams to ensure the platform evolves to meet PlayStation’s growing data needs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data platform or data engineering
• 3+ years in an engineering leadership role
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS, GCP)
• Exposure to real-time streaming technologies
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and modern data processing frameworks like Apache Spark
• Exposure to data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
• Strong understanding of emerging data interoperability standards
• Proven ability to lead technical teams
• Effective communicator
