Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Front End to join the PlayStation Telemetry team in Madison, WI. This role involves shaping feature requirements, crafting scalable proposals, and implementing solutions for telemetry libraries used across PlayStation platforms. The engineer will collaborate with global teams to power the data behind PlayStation’s gaming experiences. PlayStation offers flexible work from home policy.

Role involves:
  • Defining requirements and delivering major features for shared libraries and services.
  • Collaborating across PlayStation teams to integrate features into shared libraries.
  • Defining and delivering evaluation criteria for testability, scalability, and performance.
  • Maintaining codebase stability and quality through development standards and automation.
  • Adapting to diverse projects and new programming paradigms.
  • Writing clean, scalable solutions.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing peer review feedback.
  • Identifying improvements to development and testing processes.
  • Exercising creative problem-solving capabilities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in developing high-performance JavaScript code with SPA/front-end frameworks (e.g., React, React Native).
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional partners.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
