Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a TechOps System Administrator to join their Production Operations team. The successful candidate will support Sony's infrastructure-as-a-service platform and manage its large-scale Linux-based hardware fleet. This role requires proficiency in Linux CLI troubleshooting, understanding of cloud technologies, and the ability to deliver effective support to internal teams.

What this role involves:

  • Responding to support tickets and inquiries in a 24/5 environment.
  • Maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux-based hardware systems.
  • Building and maintaining internal documentation and knowledge bases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Linux systems administration and 3 years in a technical support or IT service delivery role.
  • Proficiency with Linux CLI, Bash scripting, automation tools (e.g., Ansible), and familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure concepts (e.g., compute, storage) and foundational networking knowledge (Network+ level).
  • Experience using ServiceNow or Jira in a support operations context.
  • Strong communication skills.
