Sr. Data Product Manager - Telemetry & Streaming

Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager for Telemetry & Streaming to lead the company's data collection, processing, and activation efforts. This role is central to SIE's data ecosystem, requiring collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure data is collected, moved, and utilized effectively.

Role involves:

• Defining the product direction and plan for SIE’s telemetry and streaming data infrastructure.
• Translating vision into actionable plans and working with engineering to deliver resilient, scalable data systems.
• Driving adoption of common data instrumentation and collection patterns across SIE.
• Making it easier for internal teams to tap into real-time data streams for analytics, experimentation, and AI-powered experiences.
• Collaborating with product, engineering, analytics, and platform teams to deeply understand data needs.
• Looking for opportunities to improve performance, reduce latency, increase data trust, and simplify complexity.

Requirements:

• Proven experience running platform or infrastructure products, especially in data streaming, telemetry, or observability domains.
• Comfortable working with engineers on topics like event-driven architectures, Kafka, Spark, real-time pipelines, or edge data collection.
• Ability to see around corners, understand where the business is headed, and align technical roadmaps accordingly.
• Track record of shipping infrastructure products in sophisticated environments, with transparency, prioritisation, and a bias for action.
• Able to distil complexity for diverse audiences and build alignment across functions and levels.
• Passionate about building for reliability, usability, and adoption.
