Naughty Dog, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment, is seeking a Senior Gameplay Melee Animator to join their team in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a new franchise, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PC. This role requires a blend of keyframe and motion capture animation skills, utilizing Naughty Dog’s advanced animation technology.
Role involves:
Creating high-quality animation content in Maya.
Collaborating with Animation, Design, and Engineering teams.
Directing and participating in motion capture shoots.
Identifying and resolving gameplay issues using engine debug tools.
Defining and upholding the style and quality bar for in-game animations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 shipped AAA game as a Senior Gameplay Animator.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the video game industry.
Expertise in gameplay animation, with a strong background in human and creature melee animation.
Strong animation reel showcasing mastery in both motion capture and keyframe character animation.
Proficiency with Maya/Motionbuilder animation tools.
Ability to work hybrid from our Santa Monica, CA based studio is required.
