Cloud Network Engineer

Job Description

Clickatell is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage a robust, secure, and scalable hybrid network environment, encompassing both AWS and VMware Onprem. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in network engineering, managing AWS networking services, configuring Cisco devices, administering Linux systems, and managing VPNs and pfSense firewalls.

The Cloud Network Engineer will collaborate with ISPs to ensure optimal network performance and uptime. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Design, implement, and manage AWS networking components.
• Configure and maintain AWS security groups, NACLs, and route tables.
• Integrate on-premises infrastructure with AWS through hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises network infrastructure.
• Administer and maintain pfSense firewalls.
• Implement and manage secure VPN solutions.
• Manage and monitor Linux servers to support network services.
• Implement and maintain network security measures.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for network topology and configurations.

Requirements of the Role:

• Strong expertise in AWS networking services.
• Solid understanding of Cisco networking concepts.
• Proficiency with pfSense firewalls.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with ISP management.
