Job Description
Carta is seeking a Senior Manager/Director, Marketing Operations to join their GTM Strategy & Operations team. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning and optimizing the marketing strategy and operations foundation to enable Marketing to scale. This leader will work closely with the CMO, Marketing and GTM leadership, Finance, Business Systems, and Data to define, build, and scale a world-class operations foundation.
The Senior Manager/Director, Marketing Operations will be a trusted advisor and operations leader to the CMO and leadership. They will drive ambitious goals to develop new systems/data architecture, automations, integrations, and best practices that will create a step change in performance. This individual will also partner with Demand Generation, Channel, and Brand teams to plan and execute marketing strategies within the marketing automation platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning and building out all Marketing Operations activities including business systems and tools, process and policies, attribution/lead scoring models, operations, data & reporting, and business/operational planning
- Driving ambitious goals to develop new systems/data architecture, automations, integrations, and best practices
- Partnering with Demand Generation, Channel, and Brand teams to plan and execute marketing strategies
- Proactively driving continuous improvement for process optimization
- Owning lead management processes and maximizing the velocity and conversion of MQLs
- Building infrastructure and foundation to enable full funnel reporting and analytics
- Driving marketing database strategy and overseeing strategy, execution and measurement to ensure data accuracy
- Developing end-to-end sales process and overseeing governance of all policies
- Assisting with the marketing planning and budgeting process
- Delivering insights into the performance of marketing activities and campaigns
Requirements:
- 10+ years marketing operations experience
- 5+ years people management experience
- Experience in a multi-product SaaS company selling to enterprises a plus
- Ability to think strategically and exceptional attention to detail
- Results-driven self-starter with the ability to multitask
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Effective, clear, and concise communication skills
- Strategic, structured thinker with strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Demonstrated ability and desire to coach and develop a team
- Advanced skills required in Marketo, SFDC, Bizible, BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc), Gsuite, Excel
