Job Description
Carta is seeking an Account Executive to join their First Time Fund Manager Sales team. This role focuses on engaging with emerging venture fund managers as they launch their first fund with Carta. The Account Executive will support prospective clients, introduce them to Carta's product offerings, and secure partnerships. Carta's fund administration platform supports nearly 7,000 funds and SPVs, representing $150B in assets under administration in venture capital and private equity. Trusted by more than 40,000 companies, Carta also helps private businesses in over 160 countries manage their cap tables, valuations, taxes, equity programs, compensation, and more. Together, Carta is creating the end-to-end ERP platform for private markets.
Role involves:
- Communicating the business impact of product offerings to emerging fund managers
- Managing influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building
- Identifying and selling new opportunities
- Understanding customer needs and requirements
- Owning the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close
- Developing a comprehensive sales strategy and sales plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Relevant sales experience, preferably in a Financial Technology or relevant SaaS organization
- Proven ability to execute, especially negotiation and closing contracts
- Intellectually curious, fast learner
- Articulate, poised, and concise
