Amplitude is seeking a Principal Designer to lead the user experience strategy for their Foundations team. The ideal candidate will define and drive holistic, strategic design solutions that shape the future of Amplitude’s product suite. As a key partner to Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams, the Principal Designer will influence business and product strategy, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for Amplitude's users. They will also be an integral member of the design leadership team, championing design excellence and fostering collaboration across disciplines.
What this role involves:
Defining and executing a user experience strategy.
Envisioning and articulating long-term design strategies.
Working closely with Product and Research teams to anticipate industry trends.
Navigating deeply technical and complex product areas.
Developing and advocating for customer-centric design approaches.
Driving data-informed design decisions.
Leading the evolution of Amplitude’s data integration and extensibility solutions.
Designing for data visualization.
Acting as a trusted design leader across teams.
Partnering with leadership teams to influence product vision.
Advocating for the value of user research and usability testing.
Acting as a coach and mentor within the Product Design organization.
Setting the gold standard for design execution.
Sharing expertise across the organization.
