Job Description

Aspire is seeking a Director, Product Counsel to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the company's products and services comply with regulatory requirements, especially as they expand into new markets. The Director will collaborate with product, legal, and compliance teams to develop and implement regulatory frameworks.

Role Involves:

  • Enabling company’s vision towards global fintech leader via product expansion to a new market
  • Advising product team regarding product design and structure to comply with applicable regulatory requirements through the entire product development and launch process
  • Deeply understand and stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements on financial services, especially remittance, issuing, acquiring, investment and FX trading.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of regulatory activities, audits, and investigations for the products.
  • Collaborating closely with legal, product development, and customer support teams to integrate regulatory considerations into the product development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law and qualified in Australia
  • A minimum 8 years of post qualification experience and minimum of 3 years of experience in Product and Regulatory roles within the Fintech or Financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Financial service and payment regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide effective, efficient and practical regulatory advice on financial service and payment laws and regulations
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to evolving regulations and industry trends.
  • Worked with compliance teams to design and implement compliance framework and strategies.
  • Previously conducted risk assessments across global markets to identify and design creative solutions to mitigate regulatory risks.
