Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Design Operations professional to join their team in North America. The role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of design teams by concentrating on processes, methods, tooling, and culture. The Senior Design Operations will work closely with the Design Operations Director, assisting in developing strategies, implementing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of design and UX research projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring teams have the necessary tools, training, and process documentation.
  • Building and maintaining programs related to Design and Research Operations.
  • Influencing design and product teams to follow best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Facilitating communication and productivity among team members.
  • Managing sprint ceremony calendars and agendas.
  • Evaluating, implementing, and optimizing design and research tools.
  • Creating playbooks and documentation to scale alignment and best practices.
  • Contributing to the team culture by focusing on morale and feedback.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience on a Design team influencing culture in large matrix organizations.
  • Full understanding of how design, product, and engineering teams work together in an agile process.
  • Experience with cross-platform design methods and programs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills.
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expertise in delivery software (Figma) and collaboration software (Jira, Monday, Miro, Figjam).
  • Understanding of systems software (Storybook).
