Senior Design Operations at Lightspeed Commerce

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Design Operations to join their team in North America. This role is focused on the processes, methods, tooling, and culture associated with high-performing design teams. The Senior Design Operations will work closely with the Design Operations Director to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, assist in developing strategies, implement processes, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the success of design and UX research projects.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring teams have the tools, training, and documentation needed to work effectively.
• Building and maintaining programs related to Design and Research Operations, analyzing design and research reporting, and identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Influencing design and product to follow best practices and suggesting improvements to the design and research process.
• Managing sprint ceremony calendar, guests, and agenda.
• Evaluating, implementing, and optimizing design and research tools.
• Creating playbooks and documentation to scale alignment and best practices.
• Participating in shaping company culture.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of industry experience on a Design team influencing culture in large matrix organizations.
• Understanding of design, product and engineering teams work together in the agile process.
• Experience with cross-platform design methods & programs.
• Analytical mindset interpreting data and informing decisions through insights.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal and communication skills.
• Expertise in delivery software (Figma) and collaboration software (Jira, Monday, Miro, Figjam) and understanding of systems software (Storybook).
