Engineering Team Lead

Job Description

Hello Heart is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead the development of a brand-new AI-powered product. The Engineering Team Lead will oversee a talented team of engineers and work closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role involves technical leadership, product development, and hands-on engineering.

• Lead a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and innovative engineering culture.
• Take ownership of designing and building a product from 0 to 1, making critical technical decisions from the ground up.
• Establish engineering best practices, ensuring long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, to align on goals and priorities.
• Design and implement a robust and scalable system, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Work closely with product and design teams to translate vision into a high-quality, technically sound product.
• Explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
• Drive full-stack development, leading backend and frontend implementations as needed.
• Conduct deep technical research to identify and implement the best solutions for performance, security, and reliability.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of management experience leading engineering teams and driving technical initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a focus on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js is a must.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining complex, scalable systems.
• Expertise in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with ReactJS or React Native is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering user-centric solutions.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
