Senior Event Executive, Hospitality (Global Football/Soccer)

Job Description

Octagon, a global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing agency, is seeking a Senior Event Executive, Hospitality to join their team. This role focuses on planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs, particularly within the realm of global football. The position offers flexibility in location, with a preference for candidates open to hybrid work in Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA, with Atlanta being highly preferred.The role involves:

• Assisting with event planning, on-site activation, and post-event wrap-up.
• Handling online guest registration systems and databases.
• Developing personalized itineraries for FIFA World Cup matches.
• Co-leading weekly status calls with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leading logistics, including décor, lodging, transportation, food and beverage, and celebrity appearances.
• Preparing event status meeting notes and execution guides.
• Handling event results reporting and wrap-up report development.
• General account management and assistance with client requests.
• Leading on-site temporary staff at event activations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for global football.
• 2-3 years of experience with an agency, brand, or property within global sports, specifically global football.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
