Aircraft Program Manager

Job Description

Archer Aviation, an aerospace company focused on electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, is seeking an Aircraft Program Manager in San Jose, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring the program performance and delivery of integrated aircraft vehicles. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including Engineering, Software, Program Management, Quality, and Test, to drive progress and execution.Archer is dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces differences and supports all team members.What this role involves:

• Leading a multidisciplinary team to execute complex development programs within schedule and budget.
• Serving as the primary program leader for Program Gates and Milestones (CoDR PDR, CDR, PRR, etc.).
• Identifying and managing project Risks, Issues, and Opportunities to closure.
• Driving on-time execution and communicating regularly with stakeholders.
• Supporting change control boards and identifying areas for process improvement.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in complex HW/SW design, development, test, and production.
• Experience as a program/project manager with knowledge of program management best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
• Working knowledge of program management interaction with finance, supply chain, quality, and engineering.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

What Archer offers:

• A base pay between $180,000 - $225,000.
