Job Description
Archer Aviation, an aerospace company focused on electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Program Manager. This role involves overseeing and coordinating instrumentation activities for the flight test program, ensuring efficient planning, installation, and maintenance of flight test instrumentation across multiple aircraft. The Program Manager will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and flight test teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the flight test instrumentation installation schedule.
  • Coordinate with the aircraft build team to sequence instrumentation work.
  • Assist Instrumentation Engineers by directing daily technician tasks.
  • Manage and prioritize requests for instrumentation installation.
  • Work closely with flight test and aircraft maintenance teams to troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
  • Track project performance against the plan.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project milestones, risks, and issues.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years experience in flight test instrumentation, aerospace project management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, instrumentation hardware, and flight test procedures is a plus.
