Job Description
Whatnot is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Seller Scaling team. This role involves shaping strategy, driving execution, and partnering with product and design teams to solve complex problems. The Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership, guide the team, and ensure they have the skills to deliver the right solutions. This role requires candidates to be within commuting distance of Whatnot's San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, or New York City hubs.
Role Involves:
- Shaping strategy for the Seller Scaling team.
- Driving execution and partnering with product and design.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
- Ensuring the team has the skills and direction to deliver solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience leading a team of engineers.
- Experience delivering business impact in a high-growth environment.
- Ability to recruit, mentor, retain, and measure high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience in large distributed systems and complex user interfaces.
- Understanding of product metrics and data analysis.
- Effective stakeholder management and ability to deal with ambiguity.
