Engineering Manager II, Consumer Experience

Job Description

Box is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead the Consumer Experience team in Warsaw, Poland. This role involves leading a team of frontend and full-stack engineers focused on developing user experiences for Box Apps, a no-code application builder. Box Apps enables customers to develop content-centric line of business applications.Box is a leader in Intelligent Content Management, trusted by numerous organizations worldwide. The Consumer Experience team is dedicated to enhancing the aspects of Box Apps that cater to a broad audience of users.Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of experienced engineers in the Warsaw office.
• Help define the team’s roadmap and execution plans.
• Take ownership of project delivery.
• Develop team members through coaching and career planning.
• Nurture a culture of engineering excellence and agility.
• Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Own the execution planning and reporting function for your team.
• Work with Product Management and other Engineering leaders to deliver compelling products.
• Represent Box Poland internally and externally.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineering manager.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
• Understanding of best practices.
• Experience in driving effective execution with agile processes.
• People-oriented leader with collaborative and inclusive culture skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proficient in English.
