Engineering Manager II, Search Platform

Box, the market leader for Cloud Content Management, is seeking an Engineering Manager II to join their Search Platform team in Warsaw, Poland. This role is within the Query Infra team, which powers critical features like Query and Search for Box's Content Cloud. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers focused on building the future of content management in the cloud, impacting millions of users across major enterprises. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and influence the direction of Box's intelligent content management initiatives.Role involves:

• Partnering with product management to define platform vision and roadmaps.
• Leading design and implementation efforts for new services and components.
• Coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Driving design and implementation of scalable services.
• Strengthening engineering processes and culture.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in management.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and business leaders.
• Proven track record of building services and/or tooling (e.g., Java, Go, Scala, Python).
• Experience owning and operating highly available business critical systems.
• Experience with message queues and/or streaming data systems like Kafka/PubSub.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
