Job Description
Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Shuttle team in Warsaw, Poland. This role focuses on building the next generation of content migration functionality, enabling customers to easily migrate content to Box from various sources. The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in developing this system, with a focus on efficiency, speed, and scalability. Box is committed to importing customer files and their associated data, allowing customers to leverage Box's intelligent content management features. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What this role involves:
- Developing new backend features for high scale and performance.
- Designing and implementing auto-scaling of microservices.
- Solving distributed system challenges resulting from scale out.
- Measuring and optimizing backend performance.
- Creating tools to aid in testing, deployment, and product support.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Python and popular scripting languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript/Node.js, etc.).
- Ability to communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time-sensitive manner.
- Passion for new technologies and ability to implement them in existing products.
- Enjoy working in a dynamic project environment and rapid prototyping.
- Proficient in English.
