Software Engineer III, ML Platform

Job Description

Box is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their ML Platform team in Warsaw, Poland. This role involves integrating AI models into the ML Platform and ensuring their accessibility to various Box services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. The engineer will collaborate with teams to onboard AI models, utilize GCP services like Vertex AI, and develop RESTful services and APIs for integration within Box's ecosystem. They will also use tools like Kubernetes and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment, ensuring the reliability and performance of deployed solutions.Role involves:

• Attending and engaging in daily stand ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s
• Collaborating with other engineers, team members and across teams on supporting, improving and adding new features to ML Platform
• Planning and effectively executing on project and quarterly deliverables
• Providing input in implementing standards across all product teams at Box
• Participating in production on-call rotation with your team members
• Playing a role in developing and fostering Box culture in the newly created office
• Representing Box Poland internally and externally

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with Java and popular scripting languages (Python/PHP/etc)
• Problem-solving skills regardless of technology
• Ability to communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time-sensitive manner
• Passion for new technologies and ability to implement them in existing products
• Ability to work in a dynamic project environment and rapid prototyping
• Proficient in English
