Senior Security Engineer-Mobile (Freelancers- EU)

Job Description

Very Good Ventures is seeking a Senior Security Engineer with a focus on mobile applications. The candidate will shape the security approach of mobile-first applications across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define secure architecture patterns, particularly for cross-platform mobile applications. The Senior Security Engineer will also lead security incident response and forensics related to mobile systems.

• Designing and implementing security best practices across mobile platforms.
• Conducting mobile application threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing.
• Contributing to internal security standards and policies.
• Guiding and mentoring developers in secure coding practices.

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on mobile platforms.
• Deep knowledge of mobile operating systems (Android/iOS) and their security models.
• Experience with secure mobile application development and relevant tools.
• Proficiency in reading and writing code in at least one mobile stack.
• Familiarity with securing mobile CI/CD processes and mobile backend APIs.
• Experience with app store security guidelines and compliance standards.
