Lightspeed is seeking a tech-savvy and data-driven Business Analyst to join their Partnerships team in Montreal. This role involves working on global high-impact projects, collaborating with various teams and external partners. The Business Analyst will report to the VP of Partnerships and focus on creating financial models, managing projects, and identifying strategic opportunities for leadership teams across Lightspeed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models, presentations, and business cases for strategic partnerships.
- Create reporting for strategic partnerships across Lightspeed.
- Track progress for milestones, contractual obligations, and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage strategic project execution and tasks.
- Maintain documentation of strategic initiatives and points of contact.
- Communicate with partners and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Identify trends in point of sale, digital commerce, and payments.
- Surface innovative ideas for Lightspeed.
- Work with Corporate Development on M&A strategy.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of related experience in software or fintech partnerships.
- University degree in Engineering/Business/Marketing or related.
- Fluency in English (French an asset).
- Understanding of point of sale, digital commerce, and payments.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for software technology in e-commerce/retail/restaurant/payments.
- Knowledge of the retail/e-commerce/restaurant/payments industry.
