Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Java and Kotlin) to join their Ecwid team in Tbilisi. The successful candidate will contribute to the flagship platform, develop clean code, and collaborate within a team to deliver product features. The role involves reinforcing quality standards and impacting thousands of merchants globally.

The Senior Backend Developer's responsibilities include:

  • Creating and extending functionality of products by contributing to flagship platform
  • Developing clean and maintainable code
  • Collaborating as part of a team (squad) to deliver product features and functionality
  • Engaging with Product Managers, Architects, Senior/Principal developers, and other stakeholders
  • Extending skills by learning from and growing with the team

Requirements:

  • Senior level work experience with Java / Kotlin
  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Experience with Relational databases and NoSql (PostgreSQL, Redis)
  • Experience with programming patterns and microservices architecture
  • Exposure to modern and mainstream technology
  • Product mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ownership, openness, and commitment
  • Full working proficiency in Russian and English
