Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Retail POS team in North America. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver product features, develop maintainable code, and implement technical designs that solve business problems.
What the role involves:
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Developing clean, well-designed, highly maintainable services and code.
- Drafting, discussing & implementing technical designs.
- Extending skills by learning from and growing with the team.
- Defining the product evolution.
- Helping celebrate achievements and having fun together.
The requirements for the role are:
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Frontend/full-stack web development experience (preferably in Go, React, and Node.js).
- Experience developing, shipping, and monitoring SaaS-based software in the public cloud (AWS or similar).
- Comfortable leading technical design discussions.
- Ability to analyse production environments, incidents, and performance characteristics.
- Eagerness to improve existing features & systems and plan new ones.
