Senior Software Developer at Lightspeed Commerce

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Retail POS team in North America. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver product features, develop maintainable code, and implement technical designs that solve business problems.

What the role involves:

• Collaborating with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
• Developing clean, well-designed, highly maintainable services and code.
• Drafting, discussing & implementing technical designs.
• Extending skills by learning from and growing with the team.
• Defining the product evolution.
• Helping celebrate achievements and having fun together.

The requirements for the role are:

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Frontend/full-stack web development experience (preferably in Go, React, and Node.js).
• Experience developing, shipping, and monitoring SaaS-based software in the public cloud (AWS or similar).
• Comfortable leading technical design discussions.
• Ability to analyse production environments, incidents, and performance characteristics.
• Eagerness to improve existing features & systems and plan new ones.
