Senior Software Engineer - Java / AWS / Restful and/or SOAP Web services

Job Description

GHX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to their Enterprise Integration solutions. This role involves leading development efforts for existing and next-generation software solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and debugging enhancements to software used in both on-premise and cloud-based applications. They will also interact with stakeholders to define system requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment.Responsibilities include:

• Gathering and writing technical requirements.
• Authoring technical designs.
• Coding web applications.
• Implementing applications in cloud infrastructure.
• Identifying and guiding the team in best practices.
• Maintaining and improving existing applications.
• Proactively working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Java developer with 5+ years experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Restful and/or SOAP web services.
• BS Degree in Computer Science.
• Experience working in an AGILE/SCRUM environment.
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration.
• Web application, Client/server programming experience.
• Relation Database & SQL Experience
