Inventory Specialist-Houston, Full-Time Travel!

Job Description

GHX is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage medical/surgical supplies and 2-Bin Kanban systems. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for counting, stocking, and auditing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. This role involves installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, including assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This is a temporary position requiring extensive travel.Role involves:

• Accurately capturing inventory count data.
• Performing inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintaining competency in using technology for inventory data capture.
• Assembling/disassembling and adjusting inventory storage racks.
• Organizing and stocking inventory shelving.
• Following procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training.

Requirements:

• High school education, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to meet required standards to work within a hospital (background check, drug test, vaccinations).
• State Issued Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred.
• Must possess a mobile phone.
• Ability to use inventory computer programs.
• Professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Frequent travel across the US is required.

GHX offers:

• A compensation range of $16.00 - $18.00 per hour.
