Lightspeed is seeking a Senior/Staff Golang Engineer to join their eCommerce business unit in Amsterdam. This individual will contribute to the Lightspeed Omnichannel product, working in a multi-language environment that includes Java and Kotlin. They will architect scalable solutions, write high-performance Go code, design distributed systems, and mentor other engineers.
Role involves:
- Building high-performance microservices in Golang.
- Developing clean, idiomatic Go code.
- Collaborating with product managers and senior developers.
- Driving technical decisions and architecture improvements.
- Growing expertise in Golang and expanding knowledge of Java/Kotlin ecosystems.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience with Golang.
- High proficiency with Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL.
- Track record of writing performant, maintainable code.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.
- Full working proficiency in English.
