Lightspeed, a commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their eCommerce Extensibility team in Amsterdam. The team focuses on making the Lightspeed platform customizable for merchants. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to product functionality, reinforce quality standards, and collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders.

The role involves:

  • Creating and extending functionality of our products by contributing to our flagship platform
  • Developing clean and highly maintainable code
  • Collaborating as part of a team (squad) to deliver product features and functionality
  • Engaging with our Product Managers, Architects, Senior/Principal developers, and other stakeholders
  • Extending your own skills by learning from and growing with the team

Requirements include:

  • Senior level work experience with Java / Kotlin
  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Good experience with Relational databases and NoSql (PostgreSQL, Redis)
  • Experience with programming patterns and microservices architecture
  • Exposure to modern and mainstream technology
  • Product mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ownership, openness, and commitment
  • Full working proficiency in English
