Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join their Retail Team in Canada. The Senior Developer will build software solutions for merchants, contributing to various product areas based on their skills and preferences. They will be accountable for features and high-leverage coding projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Building: Code, conduct code reviews, fix bugs, peer programming, incident response, and reverse-engineering tasks.
  • Planning/Architecture: Estimate, collaborate with product teams, and define the MVP.
  • Learning & Teaching: Share knowledge, mentor junior developers.
  • Enabling: Contribute to shared libraries, open-source projects, define best practices, and document development standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience with React, Vue, Angular, or other JavaScript Front-End framework.
  • Solid Software Developing experience.
  • Understand concepts like authentication, web security, models and databases, and the way that frontends consume APIs.
  • Willingness to mentor and train other Engineers in the team.
