Communications Lead, Security & Responsible Scaling

Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Communications Lead to drive messaging and communications strategies for its security, privacy, and responsible scaling programs. This role involves crafting messaging and identifying creative opportunities to showcase Anthropic's work in developing safe and secure AI systems. The Communications Lead will collaborate with security, policy, legal, product, and research teams to educate press, policymakers, and the public about Anthropic's approach to security, data privacy, and its Responsible Scaling Policy governance framework. The role also includes developing communications strategies to create a consistent flow of owned and earned content.Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing proactive communications strategies for security, data privacy, and responsible scaling.
• Collaborating with executives to develop thought leadership plans and identify speaking opportunities.
• Managing executive interviews and speaking engagements.
• Partnering cross-functionally to prepare for announcements and handle media requests.
• Building relationships with security and tech policy journalists.
• Writing blog posts and communications materials.
• Working with agencies to drive communications goals.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in communications at high-growth tech companies.
• Experience communicating complex security and technical topics.
• Experience in issues management and reactive communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong media relationships with security and tech policy reporters.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
