Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Business Technology team. This role focuses on building internal tools that enhance productivity for employees across various departments, including fraud, trust & safety, sales, and support. The engineer will collaborate with internal users to understand their needs and develop efficient solutions, often integrating Claude for enhanced user experience. Anthropic's Business Technology team is dedicated to enabling users through intuitive and user-friendly solutions, contributing to the company's mission of ensuring AI systems are safe and beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Rapidly design, prototype, and build full-stack internal tools for business-critical use cases
- Consult with different teams to deeply understand their workflows and identify opportunities for improved productivity through engineering
- Iterate rapidly based on user feedback to continuously improve our tools
- Create intuitive interfaces that make complex tasks simple and efficient
- Monitor system reliability, build for operational excellence, and lead incident response when issues arise
- Champion best practices in API design, security, and user experience
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience building production, full-stack software with a focus on usability
- Experience building and maintaining scalable internal applications and platforms
- Proficiency in modern web development (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python)
- Strong experience with cloud technologies and services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Focus on reliability and iterative improvement
- Excellent communication skills with empathy and a user-centric approach
