Job Description
Anthropic is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team. This role is pivotal in embedding security into all stages of software development. The Application Security Engineer will collaborate with software engineers and researchers to ensure security considerations are integrated from the initial design phase through implementation. They will lead threat modeling and secure design reviews to proactively identify and mitigate risks, as well as contribute to continuous risk assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Help secure AI products and internal tools.
- Lead “shift left” security efforts.
- Conduct secure design reviews and threat modeling.
- Manage Anthropic's vulnerability management program.
- Oversee Anthropic's bug bounty program.
- Collaborate with product engineers and researchers to instill security best practices.
- Develop and document security policies, standards, and playbooks.
- Conduct security awareness training for engineers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in application and infrastructure security, including securing cloud-based and containerized environments.
- Experience with modern application stacks, infrastructure, and security tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
