Security Engineer: Detection and Response

Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Detection and Response team. This role is crucial for building solutions to monitor for threats, investigate incidents, and coordinate response efforts. The Security Engineer will shape security capabilities from the ground up, working alongside research and security teams.Role involves:

• Leading cybersecurity Incident Response efforts across diverse domains.
• Developing and deploying tooling that leverages Large Language Models.
• Creating and optimizing detections, playbooks, and workflows.
• Reviewing Incident Response metrics and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with other security and engineering teams.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience (security experience a plus) or 5+ years of detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting experience.
• Understanding of cloud environments and operations.
• Experience working with engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead projects with little guidance.
• Ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly.
• Knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or related security tools.
