Job Description
The Student Hotel in Florence is seeking a highly experienced Head Chef / Chef di Cucina to lead their culinary operations. This role is crucial for establishing the hotel's new F&B concept, starting in December 2024. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of responsibility and personality to the team, driving the kitchen to success.

Role involves:

  • Managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensuring culinary standards and controlling costs.
  • Collaborating on menu development.
  • Managing, training, and recruiting kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and government regulations.
  • Managing relationships with food suppliers.
  • Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager for smooth operations.
  • Maintaining food GP and managing the payroll.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in diverse kitchens, preferably international.
  • Excellent knowledge and passion for local cuisine.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Food Safety certification Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset.
  • Comfortable in an informal and ambitious work environment.
  • Legal permission to work in Italy.
