Job Description
The Student Hotel (TSH) is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join their team in Groningen, Netherlands. TSH is known for breaking the rules in hospitality, offering a fun, creative, and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn, and play. The Breakfast Chef will be responsible for ensuring the breakfast service is fully stocked and that guests receive a delicious and memorable experience. They will also maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety guidelines.
What this role involves:
- Taking control of the breakfast service
- Setting up and breaking down the breakfast service
- Understanding details around daily specials, menu changes, and special dietary needs
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Monitoring incoming goods
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Putting away deliverables in an organized manner
- Monitoring HACCP guidelines, fire safety policy, and working conditions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year’s relevant work experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food products according to market standards
- Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques
- Availability during the mornings between 6:00 - 16:00
- Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands
