Restaurant Manager

Job Description

The Student Hotel (TSH) Amsterdam City is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead their restaurant team. The Restaurant Manager will set the standard for the restaurant and manage the team, ensuring a memorable guest experience. They will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing staff, as well as managing resources and costs.

TSH is known for breaking the rules in hospitality, offering a fun and creative environment where everyone can work, stay, learn, and play. This particular location, TSH Amsterdam City, is their flagship hotel.

What this role involves:

• Managing the Restaurant Team
• Ensuring resources are available to staff
• Taking part in the service
• Monitoring HACCP guidelines and fire safety policy
• Bringing forward innovations and improvements
• Monitoring costs suppliers
• Responsible for recruitment and proper onboarding of temporary and permanent staff
• Scheduling of staff according to business and staff needs
• Responsible for proper Performance Management of all restaurant staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in a managerial role at a similar level restaurant
• Strong knowledge of drinks and food according to market standards
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant service standards
• Fluent in English
• Legally allowed to work in The Netherlands
