Handyman

Job Description

The Student Hotel is seeking a talented and driven Handyman to join their team at their unique hotel in Amsterdam West. The Handyman will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and technical operations, both inside and outside the hotel. They will be the first point of contact for guests and team members reporting issues, ensuring a fun and efficient work environment.

Role Involves:

• Being the first point of contact for maintenance issues.
• Performing relevant repair work in and around the hotel.
• Conducting maintenance checks.
• Liaising with internal and external parties regarding technical and maintenance topics.

Requirements:

• Capable of prioritizing and coordinating tasks.
• Enjoys connecting with guests and colleagues.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Flexible and available for emergency help outside of office hours.
• Eager to learn and share experiences.
• LBO/MBO-level of working and thinking with relevant training in maintenance/construction (VCA-basis certificates).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (hotel environment preferred).
• Social with a guest-oriented mindset.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
