Job Description

Blacklane is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team, with a clear path to becoming an Engineering Manager. This individual will initially focus on the core pricing platform, contributing to both web and mobile applications. The role involves driving technical excellence, leading end-to-end initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

As the Senior Software Engineer progresses, they will transition into an Engineering Manager role, taking ownership of team delivery, participating in hiring and mentoring, and aligning roadmaps with stakeholders.

Role involves:

  • Contributing to codebases and architectural discussions.
  • Leading initiatives on the Pricing platform.
  • Collaborating with Product, Data, and other engineering teams.
  • Participating in monolith-to-service migration.
  • Mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background with backend experience.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
  • Comfortable with Ruby, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for growth and leadership.
