Job Description
In The Pocket, a leading European digital product studio, is seeking a Design Engineer to work at the intersection of design and engineering. The Design Engineer will craft intuitive and delightful digital experiences. This role involves translating user needs into scalable and accessible products, from prototyping to maintaining a large design system.
The Design Engineer will work in a multidisciplinary team, being responsible for both the design and front-end of a product. They will create new designs, animations, or visuals based on existing wireframes and brand guidelines, and prototype ideas into tangible user experiences. They will also build prototypes in reusable code, maintain the design system, create components, improve existing features, and build the front-end of new user flows.

What this role involves:
- Designing and building user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Creating designs, animations, or visuals based on wireframes and brand guidelines.
- Prototyping ideas into tangible user experiences.
- Building prototypes in reusable code.
- Maintaining the design system.
- Creating components and improving existing features.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in Digital Product Design, UX/UI Design, or Web/Software development.
- Good understanding of both design and engineering principles.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch), no/low-code tools (Webflow, Framer, FlutterFlow), and code editors (VSCode, Cursor, Xcode, Android Studio).
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining design systems.
- Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects.
- Knowledge of AI tools for improving work.
- Detail-oriented with technical expertise, design sensibility, and user empathy.
